Geotechnical Lab Supervisor

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Geotechnical Lab Supervisor to join our Geotechnical Engineering Services Group. As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of geotechnical engineering.

Your responsibilities:

  • •  Managing laboratory operations, equipment and resources
  • •  Communication with clients and team members
  • •  Ensure appropriate certifications are up to date and maintained (CCIL)
  • •  Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
  • •  Managing requirements of CNSC for the use and storage of nuclear density gauges
  • •  Occasional visits to project sites
  • •  Assisting G2S project managers as required

 

The Skills, Knowledge, And Ability We Seek:

  • •  Experience as a Geotechnical Lab Supervisor is preferred
  • •  Undergraduate degree or diploma in related technical or engineering field
  • •  At least 5 years of relevant experience in laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing
  • •  Familiar with CCIL and ASTM methods and standards, and CNSC requirements
  • •  Current or pending registration C.E.T.

Geotechnical Technician

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Geotechnical Technician to join our Geotechnical Engineering Services Group. As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of geotechnical engineering.

Your responsibilities:

  • •  Provide project support work in the field, office and laboratory
  • •  Conduct field testing, including compaction, concrete testing, rebar inspections and footing inspections
  • •  Assisting with environmental field work and building inspections as needed
  • •  Comply with workplace health and safety practices
  • •  Assisting G2S project managers as required

 

The Skills, Knowledge, And Ability We Seek:

  • •  Undergraduate degree or diploma in related technical or engineering field
  • •  Experience is an asset but not a requirement
  • •  Must have own vehicle and hold a valid drivers license
  • •  Flexible and self motivated
  • •  Excellent oral and written communication skills

Hazardous Materials Technician

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking Hazardous Material Technicians. As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of Hazardous Materials Consulting.

The Hazardous Materials Technician’s responsibilities are:

  • •  Project management and scheduling
  • •  Preparation of fee estimates and proposals for a variety of clients and sectors.
  • •  Site Investigations, including Designated Substance Surveys, Abatement oversight and Indoor Air Quality Investigations
  • •  Carry out or supervise field inspection of construction works
  • •  Write/Review proposals and technical reports
  • •  Work alongside other team members
  • •  Communicate with clients throughout project duration  

 

The Hazardous Materials Technician qualifications are:

  • •  Undergraduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or college in a related discipline, or related job experience.
  • •  One year or more of relevant experience in Hazardous Materials Consulting or closely related field Knowledgeable with construction contracts, specifications and drawings
  • •  Strong analytical skills
