Hazardous Materials Technician

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking Hazardous Material Technicians. As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of Hazardous Materials Consulting.

The Hazardous Materials Technician’s responsibilities are:

  • •  Project management and scheduling
  • •  Preparation of fee estimates and proposals for a variety of clients and sectors.
  • •  Site Investigations, including Designated Substance Surveys, Abatement oversight and Indoor Air Quality Investigations
  • •  Carry out or supervise field inspection of construction works
  • •  Write/Review proposals and technical reports
  • •  Work alongside other team members
  • •  Communicate with clients throughout project duration  

 

The Hazardous Materials Technician qualifications are:

  • •  Undergraduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or college in a related discipline, or related job experience.
  • •  One year or more of relevant experience in Hazardous Materials Consulting or closely related field Knowledgeable with construction contracts, specifications and drawings
  • •  Strong analytical skills

Senior Building Science Professional

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Building Science Professional to join our growing Building Services Group.  As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of Building Science.

The Senior Building Science Professional’s responsibilities are: 

  • •  Assist in building the Building Science Group
  • •  Project management and scheduling
  • •  Preparation of fee estimates and proposals for a variety of clients and sectors.
  • •  Site Investigations, including Building Condition Assessments, Building System Inspections
  • •  Carry out or supervise field inspection of construction works
  • •  Write/Review proposals and technical reports
  • •  Implement project risk control and loss management
  • •  Oversee investigation programs 
  • •  Supervise, guide and review work of junior staff
  • •  Communicate with clients throughout project duration
  • •  Project management and scheduling

 

 The Senior Building Science Professional’s qualifications are:

  • •  Undergraduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or college in a related discipline
  • •  Eight years or more of relevant experience in Building Science or closely related field
  • •  Knowledgeable with construction contracts, specifications and drawings
  • •  Ability to lead and mentor staff
  • •  Strong analytical skills

Building Science Technologist

Geotechnical Engineer

G2S Environmental Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to assist in the establishment of our Geotechnical Engineering Services Group.  As a valued member of the team within a vibrant, flexible, and enjoyable environment, you will be helping G2S expand while working with our existing clients. G2S is a young growing company, and the successful candidates will share our enthusiasm to grow our business in the field of geotechnical engineering.

The Geotechnical Engineer responsibilities are:

  • •  Project management and scheduling
  • •  Assist in building the geotechnical services group
  • •  Preparation of fee estimates and proposals for a variety of clients and sectors.
  • •  Preparation of concise geotechnical reports
  • •  Site Investigation: subsurface site programs, selection of laboratory test regime, interpretation and documentation of results on a wide variety of transportation, municipal and resource related projects
  • •  Implement project risk control and loss management
  • •  Carry out or supervise field inspection of construction works
  • •  Write/Review proposals and technical reports for complex projects
  • •  Oversee investigation programs 
  • •  Supervise, guide and review work of junior staff
  • •  Communicate with clients throughout project duration

 

The Geotechnical Engineer qualifications are:

  • •  Undergraduate Degree in Civil/Geological Engineering with registration as a P.Eng. in Ontario, or eligible for registration
  • •  At least 5 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering with emphasis on projects in the Southern Ontario market
  • •  Knowledgeable with construction contracts and specifications.
  • •  Knowledge of environmental regulations, ESAs and remediation technologies
  • •  Strong analytical skills
